Active work is being carried out on the process of delimitation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at a press briefing Thursday.

He reiterated that this border delimitation process is aimed at specifying the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, based on the Alma-Ata Declaration.

According to the Armenian premier, a working process is currently underway, the delimitation of the border will continue, but not everything is happening "on the ground."

"Currently, certain working processes are underway. Of course, everything will happen on the ground also, since at least these sections of the border must be delimited in order to launch communications and the TRIPP [i.e. the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity] project," Pashinyan noted.

The Armenian premier added that there are many issues in the relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan that need to be resolved within the framework of the peace process.

Separately, Nikol Pashinyan neither confirmed nor denied the reports that the US vice president may visit Armenia to launch the TRIPP project. Pashinyan concluded that only an official statement can fully confirm the reports about a visit of this level.
