The regular political consultations between the foreign ministries of Armenia and Iran, headed by Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan and Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran for Political Affairs Majid Takht Ravanchi, were held in Yerevan.
The interlocutors discussed a broad agenda of Armenia-Iran bilateral relations, as well as regional and international developments, the foreign ministry of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Vahan Kostanyan and Majid Takht Ravanchi noted with satisfaction the active dynamics of cooperation between Armenia and Iran, which is expressed also through mutual visits at various levels. The determination expressed at the level of the leaders of the two countries to elevate bilateral relations to the level of strategic partnership was reaffirmed.
They exchanged views on the prospects for the development of cooperation in energy, infrastructure, health care, agriculture, tourism, and some other sectors as well as the course of implementation of specific programs.
In addition, Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan touched upon projects aimed at developing regional connectivity, including the new opportunities expected as a result of the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project.
