As for Indian weapons, I do not want to say that the normal activity has stopped. We continue to work on the same principle. Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan told this to a press conference Tuesday—and answering a question about the impact of the protests in Iran on the possible delivery of Indian weapons to Armenia.

"Now it would be superfluous for me to dramatize what is happening now with our neighbors. I do not think it is necessary to avoid touching on certain problems. I think that the problems will be resolved as quickly as possible and the natural process will continue. I do not want to say that natural activity has stopped. We continue to work on the same principles," the Armenian defense minister noted.

Papikyan, however, did not comment on the disinformation that Armenia has declined to buy fighter jets from India.

“There has been no and there is no such deal,” the Armenian defense minister said.
