At around 9:50am on Wednesday, the dead body of Vahan Petrosyan, a serviceman of an Armenian Ministry of Defense (MoD) military unit, was found with a gunshot wound, the MoD reported.
A criminal case has been initiated in connection with the death of this serviceman, and a forensic autopsy of his body has been ordered.
An investigation is underway.
Vahan Petrosyan was serving at a military unit in Vardenis town, he was from the capital Yerevan, and was six months into his military service.
