Nothing has changed in our position. The process of normalizing Armenia-Turkey relations and the Armenia-Azerbaijan process are different processes, but naturally, since we are in the same region, they can impact one another. Ruben Rubinyan, deputy speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia and the country’s special representative for the normalization process with Turkey, told this to reporters Monday at the NA, regarding the fact that Turkey continues to link the Armenian-Turkish normalization process with the Armenian-Azerbaijani process.

“We [i.e. Armenia] believe that progress in the Armenia-Turkey normalization process will not only not harm the Armenia-Azerbaijan process, but will also help and give a new impetus. In addition, we cannot fail to note that there is tremendous progress in the Armenia-Azerbaijan process: the August 8 declaration on peace, the at least partial unblocking of the railway, and so on. In general, I believe all the processes are moving in a positive direction, and we are already seeing some results and we will see some results," added the Armenian NA vice-speaker.
