The energy systems of Armenia and Azerbaijan will be integrated. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this at Wednesday’s session of the National Assembly of Armenia, while answering questions from MPs.

Pashinyan noted that the two countries will benefit from mutually beneficial agreements, both on export and import, on equal terms.

“Armenia has already received some of these mutual benefits. For example, the price of gasoline [in Armenia] has decreased by 20 percent. Wheat imports [via Azerbaijan] to Armenia have begun. Isn’t this mutually beneficial?” the Armenian premier said.

According to him, Azerbaijani representatives have openly stated that they have provided Armenia with corridors through their territory.
