After August 8, 2025 there were shots in air from both sides at nights, but there was no targeted shooting on the border, between border positions. Markus Ritter, Head of the European Union Monitoring Mission in Armenia (EUMA), stated this on the air of the Public Television of Armenia.

Since May of last year, the number of incidents between Armenia and Azerbaijan has decreased sharply, and no incidents have been recorded since the Washington meetings. The Nerkin Hand village incident was the last one that EUMA had reported on; that is, there have been no such incidents since February 2024. In the spring of 2024, EUMA was asked to monitor Khachik village so that agricultural work could be carried out there. EUMA was there every day for about four weeks, but they were not asked to monitor in 2025, and that means the villagers are tranquil, added the head of the EU Monitoring Mission in Armenia.
