As previously reported, a political agreement, a consensus, was reached in December on the provision of the second tranche of assistance to Armenia under the European Peace Facility (EPF) of the European Union (EU).

And today, this agreement was formally recorded by the European Council of the EU, with a decision adopted at the meeting of the foreign ministers of the member states of this organization. This information was reported to First Channel News by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Armenia, Ani Badalyan.

Armenia will be receiving assistance from the EPF for the second time. The first, in the amount of 10 million euros, was provided in July 2024 to increase the logistical capabilities of the Armenian Armed Forces and enhance the protection of civilians in crises and emergencies.
