YEREVAN. – Armenian Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan, who is on working visit to Italy since Feb. 7, was received by the Pope of Rome Benedict XVI on Wednesday.

The Minister together with the Armenian Ambassador to Italy Ruben Karapetyan and Pyunik Charitable Foundation head Gabriel Jambarjian visited Armenian Levonian College in Rome where they met with the representatives of Armenian community in Rome, Radio Vatikan Armenian programs staff, priests and students, ministerial press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

The Minister said that Armenian days will be organized in Friday and Saturday in Trieste city, Italy devoted to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, and within its frameworks Arab, Armenian, French, Italian, and Turk scientists will participate in the international scientific conference in Saturday.
