National Assembly (NA) speaker Alen Simonyan on Monday received the recently appointed Iranian ambassador to Armenia, Khalil Shirgholami.

First, the parliament head congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and expressed hope that his activities will contribute to the further strengthening and development of relations between Armenia and Iran, the NA informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Subsequently, the interlocutors discussed the development of interparliamentary ties between the two countries and matters of regional interest.
