Iran is ready to reduce the level of its uranium enrichment to 20 percent if the US makes concessions. Admiral Ali Shamkhani, a political advisor of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, stated this in an interview with Al Mayadeen television.
Shamkhani noted that the 60 percent enrichment level can be reduced to 20 percent if it worries Washington. But in this case, the Americans will have to pay for it.
According to Shamkhani, Iran's nuclear program is peaceful, and enriching uranium to 60 percent is necessary only, firstly, to counter the conspiracy of country's enemies, and secondly, to prepare for negotiations and dialogue.
