Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Tuesday received a delegation led by Chief of the Defense Staff of the Indian Armed Forces, General Anil Chauhan, who is on an official visit to Armenia, the PM’s office informs.
The premier welcomed Chauhan's visit to Armenia and expressed confidence that it will give a new impetus to the continued development of relations between Armenia and India. Also, Pashinyan emphasized the fact of centuries-old historical warm relations between the two countries and noted that today there is still an active dialogue in various domains.
In turn, the chief of the Defense Staff of the Indian Armed Forces expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality and added that they had productive discussions with Armenian colleagues to promote further cooperation.
Subsequently, the interlocutors touched upon further cooperation in the defense and security sectors.
