Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Thursday met with United Arab Emirates (UAE) President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi, the PM’s office informs. Al Nahyan once again congratulated the Armenian premier on the establishment of peace with Azerbaijan, and expressed a conviction that the new opportunities created as a result of this will allow for a new level of cooperation in the region.

The UAE president emphasized that his country is ready to deepen and expand ties with Armenia in various domains. Prime Minister Pashinyan, for his part, expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality, and added that the Armenian government attaches importance to the continued development of trade and economic relations with the UAE.

Also, the premier stressed that there is great potential for this and the necessary will to realize it. Subsequently, the interlocutors discussed the implementation of joint programs in the economic sphere, exchanged views on other topics of mutual interest, and underscored the organizing of high-level mutual visits.

And in the presence of the prime minister of Armenia and the president of the UAE, the Minister of Economy of Armenia Gevorg Papoyan and the Minister of Foreign Trade of the UAE Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi signed an agreement on trade in services and investments between the governments of Armenia and the UAE.
