US President Donald Trump has invited the Philippines to join the Gaza Board of Peace he has created, the country’s ambassador to the US, Jose Manuel Romualdez, said.

President Trump sent a personal letter to Philippine President Bongbong Marcos, inviting the Philippines to join the Board of Peace, Romualdez said, NewsWatch Plus Philippines reports.

Romualdez added that Manila will make a decision on joining the Board of Peace in the coming weeks.

The country’s authorities are considering what contribution the Philippines can make to this organization.

On January 22, at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, representatives of 19 countries, including Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, signed the charter of the Board of Peace, created as part of the Gaza peace process.
