Participants of a rally near the Presidential Residence in Yerevan handed a letter to U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance, who arrived in Armenia, calling for the release of Armenian prisoners held in Baku.

“Our demand is that during the meeting with Ilham Aliyev, scheduled in Baku in two days, he insists on the return of all 19 of our hostages,” said Arman Petrosyan, a participant in the 44-day Artsakh war, during the rally.

The crowd began chanting: “Freedom for the hostages.”

Petrosyan then read aloud the names of the Armenian prisoners being held in Baku.

The participants also prepared a letter for Vance. The appeal was signed by the rally participants and, if possible, will be delivered to the addressee.

It should be noted that during Vance’s visit, a rally is taking place near the Presidential Residence in support of Armenian prisoners held in Baku, as well as political detainees in Armenia.
