That matter will certainly be raised, US Vice President JD Vance stated while speaking with reporters at Zvartnots International Airport of Yerevan on Tuesday, referring to the question of whether the matter of the release of Armenian prisoners in Azerbaijan will be raised during his upcoming visit to Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan.

The US has had very good relations with both Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the US Vice President said.

Vance added he heard the Armenian premier say on Monday that he is optimistic about a peace agreement with Azerbaijan, based on where they are now compared to a few months ago. So, the US will certainly raise a number of topics, but it will continue to work very successfully with the Azerbaijanis and the Armenians, the US Vice President noted.
