A customs service will operate in the case of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project. And since Armenia is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the entire legal system of the EAEU will operate in this case. Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia, Eduard Hakobyan, announced this at a press conference Tuesday.

“The only peculiarity here now is the words that have been spoken: ‘front office’ and ‘back office.’ These words have raised questions among many, but this also is not a peculiarity, but a future for the customs service,” Hakobyan emphasized.

He added that in cooperation with the US, a center will be established in Armenia, and it will enable smart-system monitoring of the X-ray devices of all land checkpoints of the country.

"That is, the cargo will pass through the appropriate X-ray, and that system will analyze it either through an analyst or artificial intelligence and select the targets to examine. The terms ‘front office’ and ‘back office’ have this logic, where the ‘back office’ is that risk system. The whole task is that as a result of this whole process, contact with people will gradually decrease," said the Armenian SRC chairman.
