By passing the bill criminalizing denial of the Armenian Genocide, France as a matter of fact becomes one of the conflicting parties to the Karabakh conflict and must leave the OSCE Minsk Group as a consequence, Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in an interview with ANS channel.

“French President Nikolas Sarkozy visited Armenia last year, and judging from his statements there. There is no doubt that France openly supported Armenians, thus, supported one of the conflicting parties.

France must definitely leave the OSCE Minsk Group. If France leaves the Group, the U.S. and Russia will head it and UN Security Council should interfere in the issue and make certain moves. No one has the right to make Azerbaijan suffer. All expect settlement and we hope it will happen and sorrows will be left in the past,” he said.

The Turkish PM expressed satisfaction by the Azerbaijani position regarding the bill passed by the French Senate, 1news.az reports.

Azerbaijan and Turkey should always support each other, he concluded.
