Azerbaijan will join the Council of Europe Convention against Trafficking in Human Organs with a special statement, APA reports.

This was stated today during a videoconference session of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (parliament) Committee on Legal Policy and State Building, while debating on the draft law on the approval of the aforesaid convention.

It was noted that this is due to the fact that the provisions of the Convention are not applied to Armenia until Azerbaijan’s relations with Armenia are normalized.

Azerbaijani media, however, do not say what Armenia has to do with it and what the essence of this statement is.
