Iran has signaled to the US that it is ready to make concessions on its nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of sanctions and recognition of its right to enrich uranium. Thus, Iran intends to prevent a US attack, Reuters reports.

After two rounds of negotiations, the two sides have remained divided, even on the scope and sequence of easing severe US sanctions, a senior Iranian official said.

This is the first time that Iran has offered new concessions since the end of talks last week, when the two sides appeared to be at odds and heading towards military conflict, Reuters added.
