Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan on Tuesday met with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. “I conveyed to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian the warm greetings of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
During the meeting, we both emphasized the importance and necessity of the continued development of high-level relations between Armenia and Iran, as well as the strengthening of peace and stability in the region.
We discussed matters related to Armenia-Iran cooperation, including cooperation in the defense sector. I emphasized the need to resolve the situation around Iran through diplomatic means. We exchanged views also on matters related to international and regional security,” Papikyan wrote on the social media.
As reported earlier, the Armenian defense minister is in Iran on an official visit.
