Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan on Wednesday received the ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) to Armenia, Alexandra Cole.

During the meeting, the importance of consistent development and deepening of bilateral cooperation between Armenia and the UK was emphasized, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia informs.

The demographic situation, programs aimed at increasing employment and labor competitiveness, as well as the development and deinstitutionalization of the foster care institution in Armenia were discussed. Also, details were presented on the policies being implemented in women's issues and children's rights.

The interlocutors expressed their readiness to continue and expand effective cooperation in the abovementioned domains through exchanging professional experience and implementing joint initiatives.
