Iran has issued a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) on the closure of its airspace along the border with Azerbaijan, Minval.az reports.

According to the report, this applies to Iran’s entire water area bordering Azerbaijan in the Caspian Sea.

In recent hours, there has been an increase in the number of flights of Iranian army drones. According to experts, this suggests that military exercises are being held in the area. The exercises are taking place amid the increased US military presence in the region and threats of possible actions against Iran.

Earlier, Iranian foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei had said that the Islamic Republic would consider even a “limited strike” by the US as an act of aggression.
