According to the results of 2025, the amount of Armenian exports to Russia is close to $3 billion. Russian trade representative to Armenia Sergey Solomin announced this during the launch of the international analytical program “Eurasian Dialogue: Armenia,” held in Yerevan on Thursday.

According to him, when talking about the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), it is important to stay away from abstract wording.

“It is necessary to consider it as an applied economic mechanism which already provides measurable results for national economies, including Armenia. According to the results of 2025, we can confidently say that the Eurasian direction is key for Armenia’s foreign economic relations. The country's gross foreign trade turnover has exceeded $21 billion, of which $8.2 billion fell to the [other] EAEU member states," Solomin noted.

He added that the total amount of Armenian exports exceeded $8 billion, of which more than $3.2 billion was supplied to the EAEU market. At the same time, Russia retains the status of Armenia's main trading partner.

"This indicates that the EAEU market is not a theoretical prospect for Armenia, but a truly functioning economic space," added the Russian official.

Sergey Solomin emphasized that today the EAEU is not only about trade in goods, but also about industrial cooperation, technological and IT projects, joint educational programs, the development of digital services and electronic platforms, participation in cross-border production chains, as well as the formation of new logistics routes. In his view, for Armenia, which has significant human capital, a developed IT sector, and export-oriented business, Eurasian integration creates an opportunity to scale national projects on a market with hundreds of millions of consumers.

The Russian trade representation to Armenia considers its key task to move Eurasian integration to the level of specific projects that will be understandable for business, industrial enterprises, engineering centers, and startups.
