Armenia has joined the Convention on Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity, informed the Permanent Mission of Armenia to the United Nations (UN).
Ambassador Paruyr Hovhannisyan, Permanent Representative of Armenia to UN met with David Nanopoulos, Chief of the Treaty Section of the United Nations, and deposited the instrument of ratification by Armenia on the Agreement under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity of Areas beyond National Jurisdiction (BBNJ), signed on June 9, 2025.
Armenia has become the 86th State Party to the Agreement.
