The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said it is closely monitoring developments in the Middle East and is urging restraint to avoid any threats to nuclear safety for the region’s population.
“The IAEA is in permanent contact with countries in the region, so far no evidence of any radiological impact,” the agency said.
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched strikes on Iranian territory, resulting in destruction and casualties.
In response, Iran carried out missile strikes against Israel and U.S. military bases in the region.
