Supreme Leader of Iran Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed at his workplace in his residence, reports Fars agency.
At the moment of his death he was on duty in his office, and the killing occurred in the early morning of Saturday, February 28.
As the agency notes, media had repeatedly claimed that Khamenei was allegedly hiding in a secret and well-guarded location for security reasons. "His killing at his workplace once again refuted these claims and the enemy's psychological warfare, showing that he was always among the people and at his post," the statement reads.
