In the city of Karachi, protests erupted following news of the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Demonstrators set fire to the U.S. Consulate building, Mehr News Agency reports.
According to the Iranian outlet, 10 people were killed in subsequent clashes with security forces.
Pakistan’s Dawn News confirmed reports of protests and clashes related to Khamenei’s death, but said there was no information yet about any fatalities.
