Former defense and interior minister Ahmad Vahidi has been appointed as the new commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Mehr News Agency reports.
The appointment follows the killing of several senior Iranian military commanders, including IRGC chief Mohammad Pakpour.
