In connection with the escalation in the Middle East, we remind that citizens of the Russian Federation may return from Iran to Russia via the territory of Armenia, the Russian Embassy in Armenia said in a statement.
“At present, the Nurduz/Agarak border crossing on the Armenian-Iranian border continues to operate around the clock.
The border between Iran and Armenia is open to Russian citizens — crossing is permitted with a valid foreign or internal passport. No prior notification is required. After crossing the border, we recommend proceeding to Yerevan or Gyumri, which have direct air connections with Russian cities.
We advise closely following updates from Rosaviatsiya, Russian diplomatic missions in Armenia and Iran (Embassies in Tehran and Yerevan, Consulates General in Isfahan and Gyumri), as well as the websites of Zvartnots Airport (Yerevan) and Shirak Airport (Gyumri).
The Consular Section of the Russian Embassy in Armenia can be contacted by phone at +374 10 589 843 or by email at [email protected].
In case of emergencies threatening the life and health of citizens, the Embassy’s emergency phone is available at: +374 77 495 001,” the statement said.
