Residents of Damascus reported hearing several powerful explosions, with Syrian air defenses reportedly active over the capital, RIA Novosti cited Syrian state TV channel Al-Ekhbariya as saying.
“Several explosions were heard in Damascus, presumably caused by the interception of Iranian missiles by the Israeli air defense system,” the channel reported.
