Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has vowed to intensify airstrikes on Tehran in the coming days, saying Israeli forces have not been deployed "at full strength" in their campaign against Iran.

"I have given orders to continue the campaign… Our forces are now striking hard at the center of Tehran, and the situation will only escalate in the coming days," Netanyahu said in a video address.

He also expressed condolences to the families of those killed in Iranian strikes on Israel, saying his country is going through "painful days."

Sunday's missile barrage killed at least nine people in the Israeli city of Beit Shemesh, making it the deadliest strike in the country since the war began.

"Yesterday here in Tel Aviv, and now in Beit Shemesh, we have lost dear people. I sincerely sympathize with the families of the victims, and on behalf of all of you, the citizens of Israel, I extend my wishes for a full recovery to the wounded," Netanyahu said.

Israel struck Iran on the morning of February 28. US President Donald Trump also announced the launch of a US military operation against Iran. Strikes hit military facilities in western Iran, the residence of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as an elementary school in the city of Minab.

As a result of these attacks, Iran's Supreme Leader and a number of the country's military leaders were killed.

In response, Iran launched missile strikes against Israel and US military bases in the region.
