Following reports of the death of Iran's Defense Council Secretary Ali Shamkhani, a post appeared on his X account reading: "I am still alive!"

"And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord... Surah Al-Imran, verse 169. I am still alive!" was written on Ali Shamkhani's page.

Earlier, Iran reported the deaths of IRGC Commander-in-Chief Mohammad Pakpour, Defense Council Secretary Ali Shamkhani, Major General Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi (Chief of Staff of Iran's Armed Forces), and Defense and Armed Forces Logistics Minister Amir Nasrzadeh.

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Seyyed Khamenei was also killed.
