The authorities of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have announced the closure of the country's embassy in Tehran, the capital of Iran.

The UAE authorities have announced the closure of their embassy in Tehran and the recall of the ambassador and all members of the diplomatic mission from Iran, the UAE foreign ministry said in a statement.

It is also noted that this decision was due to the missile strikes carried out by Iran on UAE territory.

The UAE foreign ministry stressed that civilian infrastructure was under attack.
