Turkey and Iran have mutually closed their land borders, Turkish trade minister Omer Bolat has said, according to Cumhuriyet daily.
The Turkish minister noted that there is no emergency situation at the borders, and they were closed solely in agreement with the Iranian side.
He stressed, however, that the borders will remain open for trucks, as well as Turkish citizens can enter Turkey from Iran and Iranian citizens can enter Iran from Turkey.
