Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote a letter to international organizations and foreign ministers of countries around the world.

In the letter addressed to UN Secretary-General António Guterres, with copies sent to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and foreign ministers worldwide, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi outlined Iran's position regarding the commission of war crimes and crimes against humanity by the United States and the Zionist regime during the military aggression against Iran, Mehr reports.

"In addition to the long list of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the United States and the Israeli regime against the Iranian people, the deliberate shelling of civilian facilities, especially schools, aid centers, and residential areas, constitutes a gross violation of established principles of international humanitarian law and a flagrant disregard for the most basic human considerations regarding the right to life of the civilian population.

In light of the ongoing crimes being committed in the course of this aggressive and barbaric act by the United States and the Israeli regime, the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly calls upon the UN Secretary-General, the Security Council, and other relevant international bodies to take immediate, tangible, and effective measures to condemn these monstrous attacks, prevent the continuation of these crimes, and facilitate the accountability of those responsible.

We request that the letters be attached as an official document of the Security Council," the letter states.
