Qatar's Ministry of Defense announced that in coordination with relevant authorities, Qatari armed forces successfully shot down two Iranian SU-24 aircraft and intercepted seven ballistic missiles and five drones directed at the country on March 2, 2026.

The ministry confirmed that all threats were neutralized immediately upon detection, and all missiles were intercepted before reaching their targets in accordance with operational plans.

It was noted that Qatar's armed forces possess full capability to protect the country's sovereignty and repel any external threats.

The ministry also called on citizens, residents, and visitors to remain calm, strictly follow official instructions from security authorities, not give in to rumors, and rely only on information published through official channels.
