Russian President Vladimir Putin and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud discussed the escalating situation in the Middle East resulting from the American-Israeli armed aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

According to the Kremlin press service, both sides expressed serious concern over the real risks of the conflict zone expanding, which has already affected the territories of several Arab countries and is fraught with catastrophic consequences. In this context, Vladimir Putin emphasized the urgent need to resolve the extremely dangerous situation through political and diplomatic means.

Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, in turn, expressed the opinion that Russia could play a positive, stabilizing role in these days, given its friendly relations with both Iran and the Gulf states.
