Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez described the US strikes on Iran as an "unjustified" and "dangerous" military intervention, AP reports.

Defense Minister Margarita Robles stated that the Rota and Morón bases in southern Spain, which are jointly used with the US, "provided no assistance whatsoever." She noted that while a base-sharing agreement with the US exists, operations must comply with international legal frameworks and have the support of the international community. "The US and Israel acted unilaterally, without the backing of an international resolution," Robles emphasized.

FlightRadar24 data showed that several US military aircraft departed from bases in Spain following the strikes, including nine tankers that headed to Germany.

Spain remains the only major EU country to have openly condemned the US and Israeli strikes on Iran, while expressing support for the Iranian people and calling for a diplomatic resolution to the conflict.
