White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt outlined the main goals that the United States is pursuing as part of Operation Epic Fury in Iran.

Leavitt explained on X that Washington's strategic goals are: Destruction of Iran's missile arsenal and the complete elimination of the country's entire missile industry; destruction of the Iranian regime's naval fleet; depriving the regime's "terrorist proxies" of the ability to destabilize the region or the world and attack US forces; stopping the production of improvised explosive devices that have injured and killed thousands of people, including Americans; and guaranteeing that Iran will never be able to obtain nuclear weapons.

Leavitt added that the summer 2025 campaign destroyed Iran’s key nuclear facilities. However, the Tehran regime has been fully committed to restoring its nuclear program and has reneged on the deal despite months of negotiations and the efforts of US President Donald Trump’s negotiators.

“Simply put, the terrorist Iranian regime would not say yes to peace. For 47 years, the Iranian regime has actively and intentionally facilitated the killing of Americans while chanting ‘death to America’ and funding other bloodthirsty terrorists seeking to destroy the United States and all of Western Civilization. Prior American leaders were too weak and cowardly to do anything about it. Now, President Donald J. Trump is correcting decades of cowardice and holding those responsible for the deaths of Americans accountable," the White House press secretary emphasized.

In conclusion, Leavitt added that the Iranian regime's “brutal attacks and threats will finally end under President Trump.”
