The first evacuation flight from Oman has landed in Yerevan, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia.

A FlyOne Armenia airline plane transported people from the Omani capital of Muscat who were stranded there due to military operations.

Due to the created emergency, FlyOne Armenia had announced that it would operate a special flight.

But there is no official information about the number of passengers yet.

Earlier, the Armenian foreign ministry had called on Armenian citizens who wish to voluntarily return from Oman to fill out a respective application. Also, the ministry had announced that the Armenian embassy in the UAE will assist in the transfer of these citizens from the UAE to Oman. Priority will be given to women, children, and the elderly.

American bases and infrastructure in Oman and the UAE have been targeted by Iranian strikes following attacks by Israel and the US on Iran.
