The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran has officially announced a successful operation against US military forces in the United Arab Emirates, IRNA reports.

According to the respective statement, the target of the attack was a gathering place for US soldiers in the city of Dubai. As per the IRGC, the combined operation was carried out using drones and missile units of the naval forces of the IRGC.

At the time of the attack, more than 160 US Marines were in the specified location, whom the Iranian side calls "American terrorists."

As per preliminary field data, more than 40 people were killed and more than 70 were injured in the attack.
