We were saying before this aggression that if America and the Zionist regime carry out aggression against us, we will resist, and any military base from which these attacks will take place will be our legitimate targets, Iranian ambassador to Armenia Khalil Shirgholami told reporters Tuesday.

"The fact that we [i.e. Iran] targeted American military bases in the region, we do not consider it an attack on the countries of the region, we consider it an attack on the aggressor America.

These military bases were used to carry out attacks and reconnaissance actions on Iran, they become targets for us. Therefore, I hope that our neighbors will understand this, and these military bases were practically under American rule," Shirgholami added.

And regarding to the fact that the US has not ruled out that a ground attack could also be launched against Iran, the Iranian ambassador to Armenia said: "We [i.e. Iran] will resist any aggression, our armed forces are ready; our people are too. They [i.e. the US] did not achieve any results from their air strikes, they thought that they could overthrow the Iranian authorities with air strikes, but there is no such thing. You see that we are resolutely defending ourselves and targeting the aggressors. If there is a ground invasion, they should foresee mass graves of their soldiers."
