A total of 195 people are considered missing as a result of the 44-day war unleashed by Azerbaijan against Nagorno-Karabakh in 2020, Justice Minister Srbuhi Galyan announced at Tuesday’s session of the National Assembly of Armenia.
“According to official data, we have 195 missing persons, 175 of whom are servicemen, and the rest are civilians,” Galyan said.
As for the identified bodies, the justice minister informed that, according to the latest data, the identification results of 75-80 bodies have not been accepted by the families of the deceased.
She added that double examinations were conducted by people with specialized expert knowledge and resources.
“Experts confirm that the identification was carried out correctly,” the Armenian justice minister emphasized.
