Iranian Defense Ministry spokesman Brigadier General Reza Talaei-Nik stated that at least three successors have been chosen for every commander, Mehr reports.

"The enemy thought that by killing our leader at the start of this imposed war, it would break us — but it miscalculated. This strategic depth ensures continuity of command and resistance under any circumstances," the Defense Ministry spokesman was quoted as saying.

Earlier, Israel's Channel 12 reported the death of Iran's new defense minister. On March 2, Iran's president appointed IRGC General Majid Ebnolreza as acting defense minister after his predecessor was killed in Israeli-American strikes.
