A new CNN poll conducted by SSRS from February 28 to March 1 among 1,004 Americans found that a majority of US residents (59%) do not support Donald Trump's current military operation against Iran.

The poll also found that 60% of respondents believe the president does not have "a clear plan of action," while 62% believe any further military intervention should receive Congressional approval.

Only 27% of those surveyed believe Trump made "sufficient diplomatic efforts" before the attack, while 39% believe the US did not do enough for a peaceful resolution, and 33% were unsure.

The partisan breakdown showed that 77% of Republicans approve of the strikes, while support among independents stands at 32% and among Democrats at 18%.

Young voters aged 18–34 showed the highest disapproval rate: 71% do not approve of the US president's actions.
