French President Emmanuel Macron has stated that US and Israeli strikes on Iran go beyond international law and have led to an escalation of the conflict in the Middle East. He made such a statement in a televised address to the nation, BFTV reports.

"The strikes were carried out in violation of international law, which we cannot justify," Macron stressed. According to the French president, the military actions were the result of a deadlock in negotiations and have had serious consequences for regional and global security. Macron stressed that the escalation has affected not only Iran and Israel, but also other countries in the region, BFM.ru reports.

The US and Israel have been carrying out attacks on Iran since February 28, which has led to destruction and casualties. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Seyyed Khamenei was also killed in the attacks. In response, Iran has launched missile strikes on Israel and US military bases in the region. On Monday, the Hezbollah movement also entered the war against Israel, and the latter announced the launch of an offensive operation against the movement and entered southern Lebanon.
