The Mayor of Gyumri will remain in custody. At a hearing of the Anti-Corruption Court on March 4, Judge Levon Petrosyan, presiding over the session, granted the motion of public prosecutors.

"The risks of the accused committing the alleged crime, as well as failing to fulfill obligations imposed by the court, remain. At the same time, the court notes that the case is at the preliminary hearing stage," Judge Petrosyan stated.

According to the Investigative Committee of Armenia, Vardan Ghukasyan and seven others were detained for receiving a bribe of 4 million drams.
