According to CIA plans, while Kurdish parties KDPI, Komala, PJAK, PAK and Xabat jointly fight the IRGC and Iranian army, the Americans and Mossad plan to organize a new uprising among opposition forces in Farsi-speaking provinces. Persian-speaking opposition figures have ties to Mossad and CIA and have certain agreements with Washington and Tel Aviv — for a secular but unified Iran. However, unlike Iranian Kurdistan's Peshmerga, they have no large armed units of their own.

The Kurdistan Coalition of Political Forces is still negotiating with the US and Israel, as the parties fear a repeat of the American-Kurdish "partnership" in Syria. Their key demand is the establishment of a no-fly zone over Kurdish provinces of Iran — similar to what existed in Iraq from 1991 to 2003. Meanwhile, the US is pressuring the KDP and PUK to allow Kurdish rebel fighters to cross the Iraq-Iran border. Tehran, in turn, is threatening Masoud Barzani and Bafel Talabani that if they allow this, Iranian forces will target Iraqi Peshmerga and Kurdistan Regional Government leadership.

The events in Syria in January have made Iranian Kurds hesitant. Previously they thought fighting would earn them what Kurds have in Iraq; now they say "we'll fight and end up like Syria." Western media, noticing the Kurds' reluctance to enter the fight without guarantees, have been writing extensively about Iranian Kurdish parties — which has provoked Iranian drone strikes on Kurdish positions in Iraqi Kurdistan, an apparent attempt to ignite a war between Kurds and Iranian regime forces.

The channel also warns of Turkish ambitions to establish a buffer zone from Maku to Mahabad, from which Kurds would be displaced — a continuation of what the channel calls two centuries of shrinking Kurdish living space.

IRGC ground forces have entered the city of Marivan in Kurdistan province and called on residents to evacuate — likely taking up positions ahead of a possible ground conflict.

"If the US and Israel want to deal with the Kurds, let them recognize independence and declare a no-fly zone. We are not willing to take the blow so that pro-Western Persian opposition can come to power on a silver platter," the channel concludes.
