The Republican Party of Armenia has expressed deep concern over negative developments in the country, citing attacks on the Armenian Apostolic Church, deteriorating geopolitical conditions, abuse of administrative resources ahead of parliamentary elections, and the systematic undermining of democratic institutions.

The party states clearly that if current trends continue, the June 2026 parliamentary elections cannot be considered free, fair or democratic, and risk becoming a formality used by external players to legitimize what it calls an anti-people and anti-state regime.

The Republican Party calls on all opposition forces, civil society and every citizen to unite around the constitutional mechanism of impeachment, rising above narrow party interests. It announces an initiative to launch political dialogue and consultations, and declares openness to all forces willing to jointly form a transitional government — including agreeing on a new unified candidate for prime minister capable of restoring democratic values, ensuring genuinely free elections, and halting what it describes as the current dependent foreign policy.
